Torre Lorenzo’s newest student residences Vertica breaks ground
Vertica Torre Lorenzo, the newest project in Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation’s (TLDC) long history of premium student residences, has broken ground.
Vertica Torre Lorenzo is located at San Anton corner Reten streets in Sampaloc, Manila, marking TLDC’s second building in the area following the completion of Torre Lorenzo Central which was turned over in 2017.
“We are proud to say that we’re on track to begin construction on time through this groundbreaking ceremony. We reaffirm our commitment to deliver on time, uphold our standards of excellence, and fulfill the trust our investors and future residents have placed in us,” shares TLDC Director for Business Development and Leisure Monica Lorenzo.

Elevated student living
Vertica’s prime location at the heart of the University Belt offers proximity to colleges such as San Beda University, University of the East, Far Eastern University, Centro Escolar University, National University-Manila, and University of Santo Tomas, as well as LRT Legarda and Recto Stations for unparalleled convenience.
Vertica offers modern amenities that set a new standard for academically focused living in the heart of the city, with TLDC’s in-house property management team to ensure its upkeep. Residents can make use of study lounges for group discussions, quiet study spaces for focused learning, a paw park for quality time with furry pets, and places to physical wellness like a fitness center, swimming pool, and half basketball court.
“If you look at Vertica compared to other Torre Lorenzo projects, it feels different. It’s younger, brighter, and more colorful, as we designed it with the next generation of students in mind. It will offer a living experience anchored on the convenience of being a few meters away from school, the comfort Torre Lorenzo is known for, and the certainty that we deliver high-quality projects,” explains Lorenzo, adding, “We’re excited to bring this new vision of student living at the University Belt and at the same time uplifting the neighborhood and setting a new benchmark for what a student residence can be.”

An eventful season for TLDC
Vertica’s groundbreaking marks another significant milestone for TLDC in 2025. In May 2025, TLDC held a groundbreaking ceremony for its first Davao-based premium residential development, Crown Residences at Tierra Davao. In June 2025, TLDC inaugurated the model unit of Merano Tower at Tierra Lipa in Batangas. Earlier in July, TLDC marked a new construction milestone for Torre Lorenzo Loyola’s West Tower and Gallery, located in Loyola Heights, Quezon City, with a concrete pouring event. Meanwhile, Torre Lorenzo Sur opened new amenity-level units, in addition to an inaugurated model unit.
“We have had 26 years of understanding what students want, as well as what their parents want, which is safety, security, a place to call home, and something they can invest in for the long haul. We address these needs because we take care of the future of the country - the next round of students, architects, engineers, doctors, and nurses,” shares TLDC Chairman Tomas P. Lorenzo during Vertica’s groundbreaking ceremony on the company’s longevity. “Everywhere we put up buildings, we are always the first choice. Our buildings are always fully occupied because people are willing to spend on their children’s future.”
