Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TLDC), who built their business on the growing need of premium housing for university students, has committed to donate PhP 10M to the sons and daughters of AFP personnel wounded in the line of the duty. This contribution will be coursed through Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Benefit System Office (AFPEBSO).

The AFPEBSO is a Morale and Welfare Office of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, founded to provide various educational benefits to the dependents of AFP members. Their services cover tuition, miscellaneous fees and allowances for children, spouses, or legal beneficiaries of AFP members enrolled in elementary, high school, or college.

On September 6, 2019 at dusitD2 Davao hotel, TLDC CEO Tomas P. Lorenzo and Major General Erickson R. Gloria, the AFP Deputy Chief of Staff and AFPEBS Board of Trustees Chairperson, signed an agreement ensuring a P10M donation from TLDC to AFPEBSO over the span of ten years. The donation will be provided in yearly increments of PhP 1M, to ensure sustainable and long-term assistance. This donation will cover the college tuition of at least ten military dependents in Davao in 2019, and more in the years to come.

“We are extremely grateful for the service of our military soldiers and wish to take care of the people most important to them, their children,” said Lorenzo.
